In June 2018 the Supreme Court struck down a piece of legislation upholding this monopoly, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act. It opened the doors for each state to regulate their own sports betting industry. New Jersey was ready, and just within days from the ruling, first sports bets were placed in the Garden State. Now, NJ Online Sports Betting is completely legal.
